Experimenting

This is from a scene in the Preface of my upcoming comic.

This probably won't be the actual image, but I was experimenting with an idea I had the other day.

The background in this picture is made using Google SketchUp Version 7.

It's used for creating 3d models of buildings and objects. And I have been contemplating using it to create a lot of the buildings and what not in the comic.

however, I'd really love to get a Cintiq for that kind of work, it would allow me to create the 3d model, screen cap it, add it in to photoshop and then draw and shade directly on it.

It would be really epic.

However, I really want to start work on this comic, but if I intend to use this method, I'd want to put off starting it until I can afford a Cintiq.

I am over halfway there, so it might not be too long, and I could work on a lot of the 3d models in the meantime I suppose .

I dunno, we'll see how things play out.
